I used the DVD Decryptor to get one of my DVDs onto my hard drive, but now I can't figure out how to get the movie into a format that I can load onto my multi-media player. I have a number of programs (Daemon, Gordian Knot, SUPER) but i don't know how to use any of them and can't find tutorials in plain english to help me. Any advice?

An MDS file is actually a disk image file, like ISO. Disk image files are used to make exact copies of CD's or DVD's. They aren't just limited to movies or music. As long as there are files inside a CD or DVD, they can be "imaged." What you did was make a backup copy your DVD movie into a disk image in the form of MDS. To convert your DVD movie into an avi file, you need a DVD Ripper.

However, since you already have Daemon Tools installed, you can already right-click on the lightning icon inside your system tray (the clock area). Choose Virtual CD/DVD-ROM - Device 0 No media - Mount image. A window will pop-up, prompting you where the MDS file was saved. Browse to it and click Open. Your disk image is now mounted onto your "virtual drive." To play the movie, open your media player and point to the letter of the virtual DVD drive.

To save your DVD movie into an avi file, you need a DVD Ripper. Ahead DVD Ripper is a good one.
