I found it on a work computer and it's not in the Add/Remove Programs list and in the couple of folders it's in (in program files and My Documents) there doesn't seem to be anything called "uninstall."

I'm afraid to open the .exe file because of a bad experience of having it on my home computer. I think it was used because I found a .wav file in My Documents that wasn't there yesterday.

I've heard a few things, heard from a friend who's seen it for real and I've been to the website. But still I'm not sure. I see it has a new navigation thingy and it's integrated a few things but I really don't see the point.

It all seems to be angled towards laptops and desktops in large networks. I'm live in a house that has a Mac as well as a rubbish old lump of a PC plus this one right here (the one I'm considering to upgrade).

Will it really help me? Is it worth it?

Windows XP Home. Firefox loads ok, but Internet Explorer freezes the HP laptop if I try to bring it up.
I must have deleted an important piece of software without knowing it.
Ideas??

I was disappointed to see that Grabage Band 3 was designed only for use on Macs, as I'd heard many great things about it and it appeared very easy to use. I am looking for a music-making/sound-editing program that is easy to use, but not extremely limited that can be used on the Windows XP OS.

I am having a serious problem with this problem. When the blue screen does come up it doesn't give me time to analyse the page to find the problem.
Also when windows starts up i get a windows file which comes up saying "we have encountered a major problem" and gives me two options if i want send report or don't send.
Any suggestions would do thank you.

I downloaded IE 7.0 once, didn't like it, so returned to the older version. Now I'm getting notices for something called Windows Genuine Advantage Notification tool. Is this something required, and can I download it without upgrading to IE 7.0? Thanks

There are tens of thousands of people currently going out and buying copies of Windows Vista at $100 - $200 a pop and attempting to load it onto their old computers thinking that they will get some kind of benefit from it.

Microsoft very clearly lays out the minimum and suggested requirements for running Vista, but most people don't even know what RAM is, much less have any concept of the effects of the operating system.

For instance,
If I'm tracking vacation and sick days for personnel and I make the font color or fill color of a cell "blue" for 8 hours sick time, can I input a formula in another cell that can reference and total all the cells with blue font or fill color? So, if I had a row that had three blue 8's in it, is there a formula that can recognize that and give me the sum of 24?

Here's the deal - I telnet to a network device and that session times out. The telnet window in XP remains open with the words "connection to host lost". But I can not kill that window. If I open task manager and find the telnet in Applications tab - I can click it and click End but that will have no effect. Telnet does not appear in Processes tab else I'd nuke it there. Clicking on the x in the upper right of the telnet window has no effect. The only way I know to get rid of this is to shut down Windows by removing power from the computer - which of course you're not supposed to do. Anyone know how to nuke such a zombie window??
