I would like to enable Cleartype but to disable it for font sizes less than 12 point and in normal weight under Windows XP. I can do this in Ubuntu but haven't found a way in XP where it seems to be all or nothing. Is it possible?

Can't use Adobe Illustrator, the trial has ran out! Anyother programs do the same thing? Where you have and image, press a button and it is converted into black vector lines?

I bought the darn thing and hate it. What I really want is just a good version of Windows XP Pro. I would even trade my new valid Vista Business for a valid XP Pro. But... my question is whether I even CAN do that since I already validated it.

I know how to create a secondary axis but whatever data I plot on the secondary axis never stays. Even if I save the file, it goes back to the primary axis. How do I make it stay on the secondary axis?

For example I have bob.xls and cindy.xls.......

I want to make a new xls driven from those 2 other .xls files. So lets say bob and cindy have an annual income. My new xls file will contain a total income for them both and display the total. I want this new total to update when I change either bob or cindys income. Is this possible?

Also if this is possible, what happens when the files get seperated? Can I move these 3 files without consequence?

I purchased MS Office Pro (legit software with product key and the whole enchilada) and installed it on my desktop and my laptop. I replaced my desktop (irreparably damaged and thrown away) and installed MSOP 2003 on the NEW desktop. I have used the software, but get a message that I have already installed it on 2 computers and that I can use it 46 more times.

Does that mean I can only open my programs 46 more times and it will quit working? Or I can only install it 46 more times?

Do I need to buy another copy? or can I go to MS and BUY another licensing agreement?

Is the cost the same as buying another program?

I should have stayed with Office 97!!!

I bought a notebook last week with windows vista on it, java was already installed, but after a few times of using java it started giving errors. I tried to update it, but java uninstalled and reinstalled it instead. now, windows does not see java in the system and I am not able to download it... have tried auto-install and downloading for installation off line. auto-install gives me an error 1606, and downloading for off line install only downloads 10-15% then just sits there... what should I do next?

My internet connection is getting disconnected very frequently. And when I reboot my PC, the connection restores. Due to this I'm unable to stay away from my PC for more than an hour. I have to be at my desk and reboot my sys every hour. Can I get any tool or software which gives a buzz or makes a sound when the connection is lost or when the download speed falls to zero??

My daughter just purchased a new "ACER" computer that has the windows vista. And like everyone else, didn't know the facts. So now she can't get the programs and information she need for her help in her collage classes. Is it possible in any way to get the windows xp edition installed on this computer? We got this at Best Buy store, Jan. 31, and they want exchange after 14 days. seems she is stuck with a non useable ACER or go back the 5 year old H.P. any sugestions? Any help welcome>
