I don't have Photoshop, and don't want to pay for it. I'm somewhat tech savvy, and have used GIMP, but just don't want to spend time writing my own script-fu, but I don't mind using one if it works. I have over 700 images which I would like to scale down, and some have different orientations (4:3 and 3:4 etc). Please show/tell me some ways to resize them in an efficient manner that doesn't require using evaluation/paid software.
Thanks in advance!

Use at least microsoft office 2003 which has Microsoft Office Picture Manager. It can resize many pictures at a time.
