can you help im trying to download a small video i click on file save page as but i only get a load of text. but not the video other videos download though.any ideas what i am doing wrong

when you said you press save page, you are basically saving the page as a html, you have to click on 'save target as' then when the window opens to let you save it to a specific folder then, make sure the extension is a video format (mpeg, mpeg4, avi, wmv, etc)

When you save it, does it have an extension at the end of the filename...ie: file.wav? You may find it has no extension or a wrong one such as txt if it only shows writing. See what extension the others you have saved previously has and then right click the file, click rename and give this video the same extension as the others.

if the video is windows media player
right click on it and click properties
then copy the vido url adress line http://...etc
then go into media player
then go on file
click open url
the video will buffer then open
then click file then save as
easy as pie

stop trying to download the page - that's probably the webpage you are on.

try right mouse click on the video and do save as instead
