.
Navw32.exe is part of Norton Antivirus

CPU % should depend on what it's doing at the time

The memory it's using sounds OK.

Hope that helps!

navw32.exe = Norton Antivirus

The CPU and mem usage is just that. CPU and memory usage. Norton Antivirus does take up lots of resources and stays in your tasktray so that's probably scanning in the background for viruses and that seems like what's happening here.

If your PC is running slow because of it, try another brand of antivirus such as Kaspersky or Nod32. For free you can get AVG. All of these use less resources than Norton. You may also want add more RAM if you only have 256MB total.

Edit - Sorry misread that. The cpu and mem usage you are referring to under "processes" in "Task Manager" is how much RAM and CPU percentage your app (Navw32) is taking up, not total cpu/memory usage. In any case, more RAM or different AV program should help if your system is running slow because of it.

navw32.exe is running Nortron Anti-virus
Memory usage is how much memory everything is currently using to maintain whatever you are doing on your PC.
CPU = runs your PC and it the % of capacity it currently needs to do the above.
Task manager is a reporting tool.
