For a recent Envoromental Hazards project I was required to upload information regarding the pH, condition and temperature of a body of water at various times. The information was succesfully uploaded to Microsoft Excel, but each set of information was placed in the same cell. I can't work with the data in this format, and need to separate each value into its own cell. However, I have around 2000 sets of data to sort through, and doing this all manually will take far too long. Is there a formula, or process, I can use which will extract pieces of information from one cell and transfer it to its own, new cell?

my microsoft word 2003 has a problem - when i highlight a sentence and attempt to delete it - or type a word to replace it - it does not work but instead reverts back to the start of the sentence without doing anything. This goes the same when I press Enter to delete it but instead skips the sentence and jumps onto the next line. And the sam goes with the spacebar.

Why are there two different programs to do the same thing? And, which should I use? (I find the Media Centre much harder to work with FYI).
Thanks!

My computer will not start up at all. A blue stop error screen pops up before Windows XP even starts to run. I see the Dell screen and then the stop error screen. I tried to run my computer in safemode but that didn't work. I tried returning it to last working mode but that didnt work either. I can't even log on to my computer, it is completely crashed, right now I'm on my mother's pc.
Here is what the blue screen tells me:
A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Disable or uninstall any anti-virus, disk defragmentation or backup utilities. Check your hard drive configuration, and check for any updated drivers. Run CHKDSK/F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

I have the latest Windows Media Player...but It won't let me compress my videos small enough to upload online...not and it still look right anyhow. When I compress it, it squeezes the picture to the top half of the frame and the bottom half is green! (I hope I'm making sense)

Anyways, I've tried every setting, nothing works.

The only setting that doesn't turn the bottom half green makes the file too large to upload.

Sorry if this sounds confusing!!! Just let me know of some good programs out there! I'd be greatful for any info! Thanks!

silver, or olive green in windows XP home edition. The pull down bar in the advanced section for appearance does not give the facility for taskbar to be changed to any colour other than those stated previously.

In other previous windows operating systems you were able to change the taskbar to whatever colour you wanted.
