my microsoft word 2003 has a problem - when i highlight a sentence and attempt to delete it - or type a word to replace it - it does not work but instead reverts back to the start of the sentence without doing anything. This goes the same when I press Enter to delete it but instead skips the sentence and jumps onto the next line. And the sam goes with the spacebar.

try pressing the "insert" button once... it should fix your problem.

ATM word is "inserting" new texts and what you want is to overwrite" it, pressing the insert button (or NUM 0 key, when you don't have numlock on) should fix it!
