silver, or olive green in windows XP home edition. The pull down bar in the advanced section for appearance does not give the facility for taskbar to be changed to any colour other than those stated previously.
In other previous windows operating systems you were able to change the taskbar to whatever colour you wanted.

if you are running xp you can change to a few diff colors, blue, silver, green, black and probably a few others. the first three you can do from your desktop by right clicking anywhere and going to properties, then go to appearance and change it there. black is a little more difficult...
