Yes, although it's illegal. However, Limewire is the best program as of now, so I wouldn't worry with the others. Just remember: you're using it at your own risk.

yes bearshare. it is simular to limewire, only it doesnt mess up your computer over a long period of time

It doesn't work in the same way, per se, but why don't you use bit torrent to download?
