I got an account there yesterday. Last night, I was downloading songs, and I had to leave right away, and left it running. My daughter has an account there too. Today, neither of us can download anything, we just get to the screen where you open the account. Has this ever happened to anybody? Thanks for your help!

i have microsoft outlook, but i have to press the SEND/RECEIVE button to get emails. this is fine, and usually a box pops up that says details about the sending and receiving. but lately, the box has stopped popping up. does anyone know how i can make it so it automatically pops up again?

This is no good. I installed Norton AntiVirus 2007 on three computers. One of them is no longer in use as a new one has been purchased. When I install it on the new computer it says I have exceeded the number of comptuers i can install to. But I am not using on of them anymore so I am still within the 3 computer limit. How can I resolve this without buying a new key?

My daughter hit the power button on the power strip that everything on our computer is plugged into. After that, the computer would not boot up. My dad, whose fairly computer savy, determined that we had to perform a system restore. After we reloaded windows, we realized that everything, all our pictures files and programs from years, was gone!!!! It was supposedly being put into a "backup" file, but nothing is there. My dad put his old hardrive in his computer, which he loaded windows on, and our old hardrive is still there. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Any ideas about what we could do, if anything? Feel free to email me if you have any advice, as well. I'm desperate. I lost pictures of my daughter from when she was born, holidays, personal very important files, that are priceless to us. Of course, we can't afford a $1600 restore process though....any ideas?

I recently changed my pc to windows vista , my bt broadband software does not function properly with vista so i get on the internet with the router through windows explorer .Every time i log off close pc down and later return to internet i have to troubleshoot the connection and start up a new internet address settings ! Is there anyway round this without giving up on vista !
Bt Broadband just has not solved the problem yet ?

Being that I am job hunting, a lot of on-line applications are in PDF, I am instructed to print the application and fill it out by hand. Is there a way to enter the answers on the form before printing it? I have the Adobe 8 free reader download installed, but do not understand what else I need. I guess what I'm trying to do is get the Adobe to work like Word does. Is there any "freeware" available to do this with? Also ,when I click on print in Adobe, the print page that comes up is too large for me to click on the "print " button. How can I ajdust the size of that page? Thanks for all of your help.

I'm having problems installing my talk talk broadband software... basically, I've followed the step by step instructions exactly and everything seems to be fine until i get to the modem connection page (see step 28) http://www.talktalk.co.uk/talktalk/servlet/gben-server-PageServer?ARTICLE=MAIN.UK.TALKTALK.STATIC.HELP.BBHELP.MODEM#Modem
I get as far as here and i get the success icon for connected to modem but i get a failure icon for 'connected to network'. This is strange because i get the message in my toolbar saying 'connected to talk talk broadband' which i understood to mean that i was connected to the network. Anyway, can anyone help? To add some info if it's useful, I'm using a usb cable rather than an ethernet (could this be it?). I also read that it could be the microfilters but I've changed them and still no luck. Any help would be appreciated!
