I have 2 lap tops and I used it to repair one and new load on the other. Now the new load will not activate. What will happen in 27 days?

You can call up MS....they are usually ok

Your computer will shut down in 27 days - or at least not be usable.
You are not supposed to use the same Windows XP install on two different computers.., its part of the legal terms on the XP package.
Call Microsoft and explain the situation..., they will aid you further, but dont be surprised or mad if the tell you to unistall the Windows XP from one of your Lap tops. You have to buy a second Windows XP install software for each computer.

You are trying to install Windows XP on both computers with a single product key. Under Microsoft's license agreement, if you have only one product key, you are only entitled to install one copy of Window XP on a single computer. Basically, you need another product key if you want to install Windows XP on 2 computers. Otherwise, someone could buy one copy of Windows XP and then share it with 100 of his friends.

Do the registration by phone. These things happen a lot; just explain what happened and they will give you a code to enter. If you don't register I don't think you can get Windows updates; these are pretty important...
