I recently changed my pc to windows vista , my bt broadband software does not function properly with vista so i get on the internet with the router through windows explorer .Every time i log off close pc down and later return to internet i have to troubleshoot the connection and start up a new internet address settings ! Is there anyway round this without giving up on vista !
Bt Broadband just has not solved the problem yet ?

Sounds like user error to me! ;o)

What exactly do you mean by 'broadband software'?
The router is the business bit. That, and that alone,
contains your connection settings, and thus controls
your physical connection to the internet. Any extra
software is superfluous.

Check the internal settings of your router are being
saved properly. Do this by typing the units IP address
in the address box of a web browser ( preferably not
Internet Explorer! ) For a BT unit, it will probably be
something like 192.168.1.1, but check the manual that
came with it to make sure.

Reinstall vista it is the only solution!!
