I currently have a 200 gig hard drive with two partitions on it. On one partition i have windows xp installed and i was curious if there was a way of installing dreamlinux on the other partition and dual boot without losing any data.

i want to us symantec ghost 2003 by connecting and usb from my laptop and at the end of that usb cable is another usb that will be connected to my desktop. i would like to ghost my laptop. and i have two harddrives on my desktop that will only be used for ghosting my laptop and my desktop. is this something that i can do or is there something else that is better.

I have tried to install yahoo messenger as well, it says can't open this page operation aborted. .. otherwise it is always a blank white page. I have changed and checked my settings with no success. I have tried repair tools but it won't download them.

well yah is there anything else I can do make my computer brand newer and faster?

here are the stuff I already did:
1. scan for virus (Norton Anti-Virus 2005)
2. scan for adware (Webroot Spysweeper)
3. Add/Remove uneeded program
4. free up space in hardware.
5. rearrange items in my hard disk to make program run faster
6. updated to service pack 2

now do I need anything else...?

The last time I purchased an album from itunes, it was protected and unable to be converted to mp3 (I couldn't even burn it as an audio cd and then rip the songs). Are all purchases now like this? If it is only some, how can I tell before purchasing?

In my add/remove programs in Control Panel I keep getting an error message come up when trying to uninstall MS Publisher 2002 saying "MS Publisher 2002 uninstall. This pack package could not be opened - verify that the pack package exists or contact the application vendor to verify this is valid".

Has anyone come across this type of thing before, and how can I actually get Publisher off my system!? Thanks

Problem is ... the "activation wizard doesn't work, it tells me there is no network connection when there plainly is. The "activate by telephone" option doesn't work either. I've tried removing firewalls to no avail, I've been to the Microsoft Office support site, none of their suggestions work. Does anyone out there have a solution? Thanks!

I just uninstalled AOL Virus shield because I was not sure if it was any good after reading what some people had to say about it on here .Now i downloaded Kaspersky and its nearly the same except a different name on it and that AOL virus shield is free and you have to pay for Kaspersky.

On the free AOL it says powered by Kaspersky

So whats the differance between the 2 ?

I have read some answers here for the same issue but I can't get to a command prompt. Safe mode still requires I logon to xp....I know the password is right, it just won't work. It works fine on the two I installed, these other two computers were installed by an employee......I can't make it boot from the disk either...should I run home and get Norton to boot from? There has to be a way to get the the c promt up.....help!

By default, all hidden files and folders are not shown.
I go to Tools>Folder Options>View>Hidden Files and Folders and check "Show Hidden Files and Folders". However, I still can't manage to see my hidden files/folders. Earlier, I have no problem with this. This happened lately only.

I've tried scanning my pc using anti-virus software, anti-spyware and registry cleaner but still unable to solve this problem. I've even use Windows XP cd to repair my windows but to no solution.

Please help. Thanks.

I put the blank CD in and a message came up telling me to select my playlist and then click the Burn icon in the lower right-hand corner. Well I selected the playlist, but there's no icon to be found. Anywhere. And it won't let me select if from the File menu, either. Please help!

Everytime i open my firefox it does not keep the fullscreen size, i can't add bookmarks because when i click "Ok" it doesnt do anything, and everytime i edit or customize my icons and etc. it all goes back the same way when i start it up again, Any ideas?
