I have tried to install yahoo messenger as well, it says can't open this page operation aborted. .. otherwise it is always a blank white page. I have changed and checked my settings with no success. I have tried repair tools but it won't download them.

i am trying to download anything off a website... not messages. It says it is downloading but nothing happens until a blank white screen comes up. No options or text. Nada. Yahoo messenger will not download, nor my space IM nor pirch, i have tried all sorts of stuff with 0% luck.

when you start to download youshould get a prompt page asking you what you want to do with it (Save? Run? Cancel? )
Are you clicking on the "run' button? If not, you should.

What are you trying to download? Messages?
I sometimes get the interminable white page and end up ending the program with the Task Manager. This usually happens to me when I try to download the text of an e-mail or material I have researched. On most of these I have found, near the top, on the extreme right, a link for "printable view." After I click this, I've been able to select and copy the text and paste into a Word document.
See if this works.

you better find someone who knows bout that stuff~ i think ya need internet explorer to do download this stuff~ but be better to ask a qualified person~
