the the computer came with windows me and then i installed windows xp and it said somthing about NT. said it would be safer. so i said ok go and do it and it did but now im trying to install windows vista and it says it cant because of a winload.exe file. it put pertitions on my hardrive and i dident even know it was gonna. how can i formate this hard drive and make it like it was when i bought it? please tell me! thanks!

I can open any page,but when I close it either by the x or at bottum right click,the whole thing goes off to my desk top what do I do to fix this problem.I not very computor smart please help me

Just recently my task manager changed. It no longer has the menu bar. I also cant switch between the different tabs anymore. there not even there. i cant X it out because the close, minimize and maximize bottons ore not even there. the only way i can clos it is by right clicking the icon that apears down on the bottom right of the screen when its open and hiting close. Does anyone have any suggestion on getting back the menu bar and all the other things i am missing.

I have a 80Gb Hard Drive (which is small IMO) so I'm kinda anal on space-saving, haha.

I'm upgrading to Vista pretty soon so how much space will Vista take up on my 80Gb Hard Drive ? I'm planning to do a clean install btw.

Oh and I heard that Windows Vista is a memory hog. And if you can answer, how much of my 1Gb of ram will it take up ?

My son was messing with my computer, and suddenly, when I open programs or minimize or anything, the button is no longer in my start bar. I cant figure out what he did and he doesnt know either. Can anyone help?

cycles - is there any way I can do that? The properties in the screen saver options for the custom text allow me to put in a single quote - yet what I want to do is for the screen saver to give me a slide show of the 50 quotes in order / or in random order. Any software with which I can do that - or any pre-set screen saver whose setup options I can cahnge to accomplish this? Thanks for all the answers.

I keep trying to run Glider Pro 9 and it keeps telling me that it can't find any houses. My current folder path is "Glider Pro 9\houses\.....". I am running OSX Tiger with the OS 9 secondary OS, but this should not be an issue. Any help would be appriciated.

Seriously, is this software this hard to learn? The manual sucks. It's supposed to be comparable to Dreamweaver, ...anybody who might know what I talking about, I would appreciate some advice. I got a laptop with Windows media player 11 and a normal pc with the same player, problem is that on one i can play a movie file and on the other one i cant. Now there must be a folded or something that stores all the codecs or what ever so I must be able too copy them from one computer too the other or am I completly wrong.

I have WIndows XP, and this 3 or 4 seconds of so called "music" comes on when the program loads. Personally I find it so annoying that I always turn the sound down or off. My question...is there any way at all to change this music that comes on when Windows loads? I would love to load up something completely different.

If I burn songs as a data disc will the sound quality be worse than if I burned it as a regular audio disc? Lately I have been burning songs as data CDs because i can fit a lot more songs on it that way but is the sound quality worse than if I burned it as a standard music CD?
