I have a 80Gb Hard Drive (which is small IMO) so I'm kinda anal on space-saving, haha.

I'm upgrading to Vista pretty soon so how much space will Vista take up on my 80Gb Hard Drive ? I'm planning to do a clean install btw.

Oh and I heard that Windows Vista is a memory hog. And if you can answer, how much of my 1Gb of ram will it take up ?

THANX

The minimum requirement is 15 gigs free for the install with 40 free total. As far as RAM, I'm not sure what the actual utilization is, but they list 512 meg as the minimum. As always, the more RAM, the better. The page below has a link to a Vista compatibility tester as there are different versions of Vista.

8 GB more or less. About RAM I can't answer, but your Gigabyte is enough for normal use. If you want to speed up the system get a 1 GB USB 2.0 Flash drive and use the Vista ReadyBoost option.

Go to Microsoft's home page and then products or type in search, they list spec's for each version.Your computer will have to be Windows Vista Capable. It might be as well to uograde your computer with a new Toshiba Satillite with Vista preinstalled.
Hope this helps
