hello. i recently removed some software ffrom my cpu as it was running slowly. im worried though- everything looks bigger now, and i deleted audio. how can i reinstall important programs that i deleted. thanks.

You can try a system restore.

Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore

For the Audio, your going to need to know the manufacturer of your sound card. If it's just on board audio, then know the manufacturer of your motherboard.

If you still have the CD that came with your motherboard when you got your PC, that will have the software on it you need. Otherwise, go to the manufactures website and they should have the drivers (software) available for you to download.

Same thing with the video, if you need to reinstall the drivers.

You can adjust your resolution by going

Control panel -> Display -> Settings tab. Then use the slider bar to change your resolution.

Hope that helps somehow.


And as far as anti spyware goes, I recommend adware, and avg antivirus.

pick a earlier date that is highlighted

let xp do it's stuff

then after all is well

download from www.spybot.com and run the spyware removal tool

all better including speed

Sounds like you need a basic PC course to me! If you aint smart enuff to know better than to leave stuff alone when you dont know what its for, you aint smart enuff to fix it! Take it to a shop!

take it to a pro as you have obivously uninstalled your drivers
