If it is just showing the Windows XP screen that has the blue or green loading bar then that means Windows XP is not booting. This is a very bad problem. Try finding your Windows XP disc.

You probably have a driver that is hanging the system. Usually, this is going to be the mouse, but any piece of hardware that requires a driver can hang the system if it is corrupted.

Another likely cause is a bad startup program. You can boot up in SAFE mode, then disable all of the startup programs and reboot. Restore each startup one at a time, rebooting each time, until you discover which one is bad.

Its very little info and difficult to analyse what the problem is... Typically, it could be problem with any of the software or hardware changed you've done recently or some of the system files is corrupt. Please search MS Knowledge base for more info. support.microsoft.com Try restarting the system. If fails, restart the system and keep tapping the F8 key and logon to Safe Mode... Check if you can login or not... if its a success, then its definitely, some software or driver issue....
