This is great tool to generate PDF from any file format.

It installs itself as a printer driver. To convert any document to PDF, goto Print option and select the printer as PDF995. So conversion is as easy as printing a document.

This works really well even if you don't have any real printer installed on your system.

In case you upgrade to MS Word 2007, its a inbuilt feature there, File -> Save As -> PDF

A free software is pdf995. You have to look at a single pop up ad. After trying it, and you hate the ad, its $10 for the license and no more ads to look at.
