can i use the same programs with mac and windows?

there are different versions of the same programs for mac and windows. for example, you can buy microsoft word, xcel, and powerpt. at an apple store.
if you're switching from pc to mac, though, and you had software like computer games downloaded on the pc, you'll need to buy those games again for mac. there's a little blue logo on the games for mac.

you can use the same program, just different versions.
like mac version for make and windows version for windows.

sometimes you can use windows programs on mac if you get an elimunator

No. You will have to look into 'emulators'. Mac does sell a Windows emulator.
