Software - February 2007

I will be doing whatever online and everytime I move my mouse to any side of the screen, it practically minimizes it to where its just peeking out from the edge and I have to click it to bring it back? Its getting really annoying and is there anyway I can fix it? I have a Mac OSX. It never used to do this before until recently and I was hoping there is a solution. Thanks.

A free software that cleans the registry and looks for and cleans the files.(like double files,trash etc.)

Am having a compaq armada Laptop that had windows xp but it crashed and window was re-installed twice without deleting the original windows folder. It was all going fine until it crashed again and this time i re-installed windows xp proffesion deleting the windows folder but leaving all files intact. No changes. but the problem is am having problems in opening one user files from my computer. I can actually see the folder and files but when i try to open it says access denied. Somebody told me to recreate the user with the same rights and password but still its not working? anyone with an idea? Microsoft help is not helping me either.

my ipod model is A1059 but the newer versions of itunes cannot run in this model, i need itunes that is playing only mp3s.
i bought my ipod last 2004, the one with a software included. I am from japan but im now working here in saudi and i forgot to bring the cd. i am not sure what version is the software, when i plug my ipod to my laptop it says that i need to update it with version 3.1.1. the itunes now in my ipod is corrupted. what to do...?

I want to try duel booting Ubuntu on my laptop. I work for an ISP and I need to learn as much as possible. For someone who has never used Linux is it hard to learn? Anything I should know before doing it?

The cd i'm trying to play is Comptons Interactive Encyclopedia Version 1.0, its the 1997 edition. It doesn't even start running when i put it in, its makes noises like is, but nothing ever comes up. Obviously, its not that important if it works or not cuz i don't really need it, but i just want to check some of the old music stuff on there. thanks alot, peace

i am frustrated, i don't want to use Realplayer anymore cause the files are not able to be read properly.........so i used MEDIAMONKEY..but the cd burner i don't know how to use the software or im screwing that up.......SO ANYONE KNOW OF SOMETHING I COULD DOWNLOAD FOR FREE, THAT'S EASY TO USE, READS ALL FILE FORMATS, AND IS GOOD, WITH WINDOWS XP 48X SPEED?

I get really frustrated, when a program, like AOL IM, when opening a web page, tries to open Internet Explorer, rather than my default Firefox. I've already tried to remove IE from my PC via the "Add/Remove Windows Components" in my Control Panel, but IE still wants to open. What do I do? IE can't be removed, can it?
