CCleaner is a freeware system optimization and privacy tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. But the best part is that it's fast (normally taking less than a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware!

CCleaner is amazing freeware. But, I also suggest you try this free trial (the software itself is not free, but the trial is fully operational for 30 days). It doesn't need 30 days to do your system a world of good, though.

You're correct, it does not. However, duplicate files are not always meant to be deleted. For example, on your (or anyone's) Windows-based computer, there will be multiple instances of files such as _setup.dll and many many more (so many that I don't feel like listing them). Deleting these files will create system instability and cause many of your programs not to work correctly if at all.

I'm not sure what your purpose is for wanting a duplicate file cleaner specifically. But, it can cause more harm than good deleting duplicate files. Just a warning.
