if its a cd drive, a cdrw drive, a dvd rom drive, a hard drive, or a floppy drive, if it doesn't showup in the bios (post settings) then its not gonna showup in the "my computer" area.....first get into the bios and see if the drives are set to be automatically detected and then that they are detected....then if they are....boot into windows and then go to the device manager and see whats listed for cd drives...if your cdrw still isn't there then scan for changes...if that doesn't work then go to the add hardware and see if your drive is on the list....if not...could be a bad cable...power supply......jumper....jumper setting....bios....or the drive is gone bad. As far as any specific drivers, there really aren't any...but you could try changing the jumpers and see if it recognizes the drive...(i.e if its a slave change the jumper to make it a master)

there is no cd rom driver
there is a generic driver windows uses
but neither windows 200 nor xp uses the aspi layer so it must be installed
google forceaspi or installaspi to install the aspi layer
and reboot

Try this your download seems to be under firmware http://us.liteonit.com/us/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=153

I also found this one, but the first is from the manufacturers site so I 'd be more inclined to use it
