I just upgraded from xp sp2 to windows vista and my downloads are really slow, like I started downloading windows live messenger it said download time 5 hrs. Why is this?

I just bought a video game burner and i copied it but it didnt go onto the next disk. Im using the discs that i burn my music cds on and idk if i need a certain disk or if the program just isnt working.

I have XP Media Center Edition. There's no problem I have with it, Vista just seems to be [visually] more stimulating. I would plan on getting the Home Premium so I can still use my Media Center things, but is it really worth the extra 150 to upgrade? It's not the problem of the price, because i'm already getting a new graphics card to go with it, but is it really worth the extra money to upgrade? What's better about it? [Don't include information on visuals]

I found how to change text when a mouse is rolled over it. I want an image to change to another image when my mouse rolls over it. If it can be simply done in frontpage, I'd love to know. Clippy isn't being much help! Thanks

I took over a position where most of the files that I use have been created by someone else, a lot of them years ago. In some files the automatic border color is grey and it's getting tedious to go and change the border color to black. I have no idea how the automatic border color changed, but I need to turn it back. I tried using the Microsoft help, but they were going in the wrong direction. Can anyone provide me with some assistance please?

When i first installed i-tunes from the disc that comes with it i could access it for a week. I have uninstalled it twice and reinstalled it. Is there something that could be blocking access to it that i need to get rid of. HEEEEEEEEELP.

I am having trouble with my computer restarting on its own. I have ran some system diagnostics and spyware and virus scans and nothing is showing up on any of them. All of my software is up to date too. I have even tried a system restore and still can not find the problem. Any ideas what could be wrong?

I used poser 4 before and found the interface to be out of my league really.
I know that Poser is marketing Manga Artist the same way they did Poser Artist and supposedly you can make full story-boards and comics. I'm wondering if a novice can purchase either one of these and be somewhat versed pretty easily.
Can anyone advise me on this?

Until last summer about June 2006 me and my family had Windows 98. It was unuseable with my gaming systems and other stuff and was kind of slow but it ran. Wireless routers and gaming systems and stuff overall call for 2000 or XP when do you see Vista taking over and everything mainly calling for Vista? (Same goes for HD PS3&360 are HD yet I have a 3 year old PERFECTLY working t.v. so unless A)that digital broadcast goes into effect or the t.v. breaks I do not see getting a new t.v. until the Playstation 5 generation about 8-10 years.)

Ok, im trying to calculate monthly interest. lets say on a savings account. lets just use these numbers for example. 5% interest rate on 1000 dollars. i know how to do it every line, typing in the formula, but i dont know how to plug it in and let excel continue the formula for me. this is how i would prefer it set up. all the A column after A1 is just the previous Column C (A2 is C1+75). All of Column B, is Column A Times 0.05(A2*0.05) and all of column c is Those numbers added (A2+B2) and i want excel to plug it all in for me for the next, o say, 24 months or so. if anyone can help it would be much appreciated, thank you.

I have tried the website, buton installing, it takes half a second, and says its installed. But its not, as several things tell me its not and wont work.

Also, when installing shockwave, the page comes up, but thee install window does not appear. I try this a few times every day, and it worked once, but the browser didn't restart. Also, on looking at the page now, and other pages I get the 3 coloured shapes icon in the top left, and sometimes the red cross.

If you look at this previous problem, I have been also advised to remove the flash object in Internet Explorer Objects, then reinstall, but it wont come back.
