Until last summer about June 2006 me and my family had Windows 98. It was unuseable with my gaming systems and other stuff and was kind of slow but it ran. Wireless routers and gaming systems and stuff overall call for 2000 or XP when do you see Vista taking over and everything mainly calling for Vista? (Same goes for HD PS3&360 are HD yet I have a 3 year old PERFECTLY working t.v. so unless A)that digital broadcast goes into effect or the t.v. breaks I do not see getting a new t.v. until the Playstation 5 generation about 8-10 years.)

I don't think it will be unreasonable to see XP still running around in 2015. 2000/XP was a paradigm shift for Windows, the improved memory and hard drive model was a much needed upgrade. Vista doesn't offer any super-killer new features that mandate upgrading, so I think XP will be around for a long time.
