Is there some sort of systems check, or really anything I can do on a regular basis to keep my computer running at it's best? Or, that would help me to see potential problems before they get to big?

I am writing a script for a movie and really adore the FinalDraft software. The cost is too expensive for me though is there anyway I can get this program for free? it keeps saying that a firewall is blocking it or i dont have an active internet connection. I had this problem before and it turned out to just be the firewall. But now I definitely hve the firewall switched off, so why won't limewire connect?

I tried to delete some stuff from my Limewire Library as it was making my pc slow but then the songs were gone off I-tunes also. Anyone any advice for me I'm a bit of a technophobe, thanks
