I asked this reallllly late last night, and the answers I got, they didnt seem to get it, so lets try again

So I was told by a friend, that not only does Vista stop you from using an illegal version of vista, but it also has options in place to stop you from using pirated software. Like if you download a cracked version of photoshop etc...

He stated his source as the hackers digest but I couldnt find the article. Anyone know of this or have more info?

JUST TO CLARIFY

I am aware that vista disables itself if IT is pirated.

Im asking if Vista shuts down OTHER programs if it detects that THEY are pirated.

I'd like to be able to look at more than one net window at once. I used to be able to do that, but now the screen stays the same size (full screen except with the toolbars still up at the top) when I click the window button in between the close button and the exit button on the upper right side. I do NOT have "full screen" on, I checked.

UGH! I have been trying ALL day. It says 'A Connection Error has Occured' or something along those lines. It's really annoying because I have deleted and reloaded it several times....I just don't get it. I have used AIM for years and NEVER had issues!

It's nothing like my firewall or anything...I just had it on yesterday and it ran fine...so no settings have changed. What should I do?

And yes I have Vista, but I've had it for two weeks now. AIM Version 6.0

my comp was restored recently but prior to that i had lw installed. i now have reinstalled it and at least half, and in most cases, more than half of the songs that come up in a search are junk. and even if there are songs that are not junk, they have very few locaations on the network.

is there anything i can do to change this?

also many songs that have a junk percent of 99 have as many as 100 locations. when i had lw before if something was junk there would be 2 or 3 locations.

whats goin on?

I found the files i wanted but most of the mhad viruses that luckily i was able to delete. Now i try to to run limewire to try a new search (I had closed it out for a sec) and it won't run. i am going to reinstall.

Any idea why it wouldn't start up?

And is there any way to keep from getting infected files?

And one more thing.....I'm tryin to get gamemaker with limewire, which version do you know to have a downloadable, working, and noninfected file in limewire?
