i baught a ipod nano, and am not able to put songs on it on account of my having aencient computers. is there anny way that i can use my prehistoric computers to get music on my ipod?

iTunes might not work on Windows 98 or ME, so you'll need another iPod manager.

Wikipedia has a nice list of Managers, with comparison charts for all of them.

Check it out, maybe you'll find something supported by 98/ME:

Yes, Windows 98 SE is better than the Windows Millennium Edition for the configuration u specified.

You dont! Did you bother to read the requirements on the box? That fact alone steered me away from an Ipod! Take it back and get a real player! Apple never could put somethin compatible on the market for PCs! I can take mine anywhere, anytime, on just about any PC and swap media files without havin to load software on them! Ipods are a freakin joke!

you could use that, or you can use it in hard drive mode (see manual), which may work, esp. if you have linux on it.
