Can someone give me more information, about the new Windows Vista from Mircrosoft? I already have XP home edition, so can I upgrade to Vista, or what do I have to do?

tried the download, but it tells me I have to download something else, then when I download that, it says I can't. I'll just wait a year.

I just got a new pc last Saturday with vista on it. Its easy and fun to use but i wish i still had my xp. There are few drivers for programs and software for it right now. Take my word.WAIT!!...I cant do a dam thing. If i want to buy new software i cant use it because of no drivers for vista for it. Yahoo wont have a driver for vista on its messenger until June. My mp3 player has no vista driver so i cant put music on it. By the way don't get Vista at all. They say its a stink bomb, wait next year or so when windows come out with the Vista replacement = Windows*Vienna*

Another piece of buggy software from Microsoft.
I will not upgrade to Vista for at least a couple of years so as I can avoid some of the problems that will most certainly pop up with it. I did the same when XP came out. I thought XPs system requirements was bad. For Vista you really have to have a honker of a PC just to get it to run worth a damn. That's just from what I've heard in some of the forums and chat rooms I visit.

Vista. some human beings say Vista makes use of up a lot gadget ram. that's real. Vista makes use of those ram to boost up the workstation. Thats why there is no longer a lot loose ram. Xp wastes those loose ram doing no longer something. Vista is even more desirable nicely perfect than XP than u imagine it really is. Vista hasn't any situation to me for a million 365 days already. Vista is swifter even as starting software and starting up the workstation. some human beings evaluate XP because they're too used to XP or they're gamer. it form of feels vista is slower in video games by technique of two-5 fps. No massive deal. VISTa!

You will need 512mb as a minumum but ..... getting up to the minumum is not enough to get comfortable with the computer system.
My advice to you is stay away from Windows Vista and stick with Windows XP Home or Pro.
Anybody who going hype about Windows Vista including the Dell saying that Windows Vista is an excellent products should kick their brain out the door.

If you play a lot of PC games and have them installed on your computer beware..95% of xp compatible games will NOT play on vista I am finding that out the hard way........ Stick with XP until it is obsolete. Not too mention when you put vista over xp you can not go back!

You'll have to see if your PC meets the hardware requirements first. Actually the only thing you have to look at your hardware is your RAM, make sure it's at least 1GB.
Features:
Quick search bar in start menu
DirectX 10
3D Flip
Live Everywhere ( Ultimate )
Just go buy the software and look for a computer expert or geek to install it for youw

Check the Microsoft site to see if you meet the requirements first.
Also, I would recommend waiting a little while... there are a lot more bugs and security issues to work out than Gates would like everyone to think.
