I am writing a script for a movie and really adore the FinalDraft software. The cost is too expensive for me though is there anyway I can get this program for free? Does anyone have password or can offer suggestions of free alternatives? Please help it is so difficult to write a script in basic word. Nigh on impossible

Writing in script is impossible because you can not get the format right. If you imagine you right a 120 page script you will have to painstakignly convert to script

Scripts were written for decades without the use of software. How do you think scripts were written before PCs became affordable to the general populace in the mid-1990's?

Even though several sites offer free downloads of Final Draft (just use a search engine like Dogpile, Google, or Yahoo! and type in "Final Draft Free Download"), these downloads are not guaranteed. Some of them will stop working after a few days, some of them will never work correctly, and some of them contain viruses. Use them at your own risk.

Many screenwriters who cannot affort software or who do not like to use it (yes, there are writers who detest screenwriting software!) do their own formatting in Word or use a Screenwriter's Initial Draft Pad (which can be purchased at WritersStore.com).

This is an age old prob for people of our creative needs.
There are many free trials of similar programmes available throughout the web, but there very limited as to the features you can utalise.
I've tried Limewire, Ares and network groups, but everyone is looking for a free version of this programme, which, by the looks of it, does not exist.
I have resigned myself to the fact that the only way to obtain this item, is to pay for it.

I am part of a group called Construct Critical.
We give commental and constructive additions to writters who need support with there work.
If your interested, mail me an exerpt from your final draft and get anouther point of view. It's always benefitial.
