Just as the question says how do I get the Linux XGL. Where can I get it from? Is it on CD or does it come installed when you buy a PC?

The best place to start is Distrowatch, which tells you all about the different versions of Linux and where/how to get them.

Some Linux distributions have a fantastic 3D desktop option called Beryl/Compiz - it makes Vista Aero look really lame. Search youtube for the keywords "linux 3d beryl" and you will find some stunning demos.

Congratulations on getting interested in Linux! Welcome to the world's most powerful and stable operating system... you're a HERO.
