TRY System Restore.
1. Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
2. Or from Control Panel.

Hey dude,

Its a common problem in Windows XP. No fret. If you have to access the hidden folders without reinstalling Windows, then try the "Windows Search" utility with the "Search in Hidden Folders" option enabled.

But I would definitely recommend reinstalling windows as the above process is cumbersome.

Ciao!

Its a long process n very funny/bad too.
yes this happens becoz of This virus too. so do that if not works then do following.

Try this command in run box.
scanreg /restore this will prompt u for any supported system file give it through CD you have. and it will work.

If not works then do following
Just open registry Editor. to do it just go to start menu->then run
Type: regedit and enter.
Now in this registry editor go to below key.
User Key: HKEY_Local Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\
Explorer
if there is a key named "NoFolderOptions" exist the just double click and change its value to 0
otherwise make key(reg dword key) and give value 0 to it.

Happy freaking. Option will come this is also tricky way to hide this option if u want no body will see ur hidden data.

Hope u will understand. if not then just PM me.
