Your computer must be old & i dont think it would take XP however it might take Win 2000 which is an upgrade, if it cannot I would down grade to Win98SE it's a lot better than ME.

You need to buy a copy of XP. They might sell upgrade versions, but if they do they're a little hard to find. Put the disc in your drive and follow the directions in the box.

Before you upgrade though, you should make sure your computer can handle Win XP. Check the specs on the box. I remember when I upgraded back in the day from Win 95 to 98, my computer was incredibly slow because I didn't have much memory to begin with.

Try UBUNTU. It's a free, reliable and up to date operating system.

If you have 256MB of RAM get a full vesion. If less, get XUBUNTU

Also you get all of the software that you will ever need FREE!!!
