This defragmenter worked very bad. And it has just made me lost my disk space by screwing up my MFT and index. What should I do? Will a simple chkdsk help?

When I copy files to my portable mp3 player or USB drive in OpenSUSE 10.2, the progress bar goes all the way to 100% and the dialog box disappears wayyyy before the files are done copying. Unless i watch the flashing LED on the drive itself, i have no way of knowing when the files are actually done copying. Is there a way to fix this to that the transfer and the progress bar are synchronized?

I have Java SE 6.
The "advanced" settings are clicked so I can use it, but when I try to play games and/or open some websites, they won't load. Why, and what can I do to fix it? Am I supposed to do something with the console or whatever?

I've even tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and I even tried JRE 5.0 update 11 with no luck.

does anyone know any freeware program that plays digital images on the computer. i don't want to burn it on cd, or make a movie file out of it, or even just create one file out of it. i just need something like a picture player that plays images by just selecting a folder. basically it works like slideshow screensaver programs but isn't a screensaver, and isn't fullscreen... I have a .avi file which is 699mb and a cd-rw 700mb but when i try to burn it with nero, after total completion a message appeared that there wasn't enough space on the disc as 900mb was needed by the file while only 700mb is available. what is the prolem, why does a 699mb file need 900mb?what could be the problem?
