Personally, it's a waste of money, your going to have ot buy new hardware plus Windows is an unreliable system. With your same system you could run Linux. Or, buy a Mac.

What do you think about it?

I want to partition off about 8 gigs of my hard drive and run linux (or solaris) on it (for experimental purposes).Currently XP home.
Does this make sense?

If it does make sense, how exactly do I go about doing it, I'll be using Partition Magic, and I dont have the OS as yet.

I have Windows XP and it says that it burns DVDs ( I have the XPS ) but it won't burn for me in Realplayer or Windows Media and I tried Blaze Media but that won't work either.

My Disk that I'm trying to burn it on is a DVD-R 1-16X Speed 120min. 4.7GB Data from Maxwell.

The file I'm trying to download to the DVD is 538mb in size .avi format and 1:29:23 in time which is weird because 1:29:23 is only 89minutes and 23 seconds, right and the DVD will allow 120minutes???

So why isn't it burning?

Do you guys know of a good program that will burn it for me? Something free or gives you a free trial without any big limitations?

I know that having limewire, since it's such a popular share program, is risky when it comes to viruses and spyware.

BUT--do the viruses/spyware/and whatever else come from the type of files u download thru others OR from downloading limeware itself?!
