just purchased a western europe map for my bike satnav only to be politely informed that i have insufficient space to install the damn thing am i a/ stupid because i believed that a dedicated home page that correlated my specific product reg no should have told me it didnt fit when i tried to buy it, cos i arent too bright as regards computers
or b/ am i doing something wrong maybe do i have to manually del old one first???
also can i just cancel the whole thing it just aint gonna work?
help please

You NEED a 256Mb (or more if you want) SD card to install the UK / Western Europe maps.

If you already have one - save ALL of the info on it (just in case)Then totally FORMAT THE CARD.

Get one for around £5 at www.ebuyer.com.

Then put the card into your 'rider' and link it up to the PC. Run TomTom HOME and install the 'updates' (free operating sytsem upgrade to v6.03?). Then install the map - will be just fine after that.

Get TomTom home installed on your pc and do a full back up of your satnav. Then have a look at the contents of the device. You will probably find a lot of voice files in other languages that you can delete. That should clear enough space. Again back up first! as deletions are not recoverable.
