i have files with .avi extension in my pc..there is a sound but i cannot see any pictures at all when i tried to run it on my windows media player...i cannot even make it work with my real player..please help me..thanks

I just recently upgraded to XP from Windows ME and my C drive is 97% full - basically the computer is so slow it's unusable. It's an older Sony Vaio with a partitioned drive. I am concerned about losing the software that came with the computer if I uninstall XP from the C drive and then reinstall on the D drive. I can't do Partition Magic merge - lack of cash to spend anymore right now. Eventually I will combine the two partitions. In the meantime, what is the best course of action - install on D drive and then uninstall on C drive? And how do you uninstall an operating system? I still have the recovery CDs for original software that came with the computer etc. but they are all from the Windows ME system, so I doubt those would be helpful. Please enlighten this non-techie with a brilliant answer to this dilemma!! Thank you.

java is turned off. i always download the latest version of flashplayer and reset my pc and go back to youtube and get the same thing all over again. if it is the javascript thing the prevents me from playing youtube videos then how do i turn it on or download, for free, a javascript program? thanks

Are seeds where other people are also downloading that file so the more people downloading that file the more seeds you have /you'll get. Is that it? It's very confusing. Or is it something else. It that for peers, and I'm wrong. Can you still download a torrent even if it has 1 seed? Or it can't download, or it can but slowly? Please help

I can't seem to burn my DVDs with Nero 7. They don't have any kind of security measures to prevent a burning, but I keep getting a message about inserting a disk even when I have already done so. Finally, it gives me a "user aborted" message. I'm using DVD-R disks. Is this wrong? I'm totally new at this and am about to just throw the whole computer off the balcony. :-D

what is going to happen? Is it going to install anyway, or give me a warning saying that I don't have the enough requirements, like (RAM etc), because I know that I don't have enough MG of RAM for installing XP but if I try is the computer going to tell me if I can't continue the installation?

I have used "Add" to add all the files I want. The "zip" file is still the same size as the original files! It's 29 MB! So I still can't send it by e-mail! I think there must be a final step after you "Add" the files to the zip archive, but I don't know what it is or how to do it.

Please, please don't recommend different software to me, I just don't have time to download and start up a new one. I just really need help reducing a file from 29 MB to something I can e-mail.
