how can i play file with .avi extension on my windows media player?

i have files with .avi extension in my pc..there is a sound but i cannot see any pictures at all when i tried to run it on my windows media player...i cannot even make it work with my real player..please help me..thanks

download and install you can read more and more file

and download AVS DVD Player (for free)
(I associated all video files with it)
