Nero 7 questions...?

Question

I can't seem to burn my DVDs with Nero 7. They don't have any kind of security measures to prevent a burning, but I keep getting a message about inserting a disk even when I have already done so. Finally, it gives me a "user aborted" message. I'm using DVD-R disks. Is this wrong? I'm totally new at this and am about to just throw the whole computer off the balcony. :-D
