The first thing you need to locate from the old hard drive is your Outlook Data File. It more than likely be in the following path:
C:\Documents and Settings\{Your UserName}\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst
Where {Your UserName} is your user account on the OLD computer. Once you have located it, you should be able to go into Outlook and goto File->Data File Management. In there you will need to add this PST file. This file is what contained your mail from the old computer.

Can you at least open Outlook?
Display contacts.
cl File
cl Export
Export to a csv file (comma separated value) which you can import into almost any other program, or
Export to an Excel file.

My opinion: I would now uninstall then reinstall Outlook, then import the file you exported above.

You can export all your outlook mails and then import to your new pc.
Follow the steps.
File > Import and Export >
choose
> Export to a File >
select file type > Personal Folder File (.pst)
in the next step you can choose folders to export.
click next you can select path to file and click finish.
Now export part is finish.

Copy that file using floppy or cd to your new pc and follow the step.
Click on File > Open > Outlook Data File...
Here give path or selected your exported file and it is done.

It is simple and easy.
All the Best.
