Open Windows Explorer.
Got to:
- tools
- folder options
- view
Uncheck :
"Hide extensions for known file types".
Now you can see the filename & its extension in Windows Explorer.

Right click on the video file, goto properties & look for the tab type of file!! U can even refresh the window & point yur mouse over the file to view the type!!

Go to Properties on it and look... Or if it has the .avi at the end.
