I have used "Add" to add all the files I want. The "zip" file is still the same size as the original files! It's 29 MB! So I still can't send it by e-mail! I think there must be a final step after you "Add" the files to the zip archive, but I don't know what it is or how to do it.

Please, please don't recommend different software to me, I just don't have time to download and start up a new one. I just really need help reducing a file from 29 MB to something I can e-mail.

Thank you!!!

Some filesizes cant be reduced by zipping, e.g. MP3 files, some video files, JPGs etc

Upload it to a sharing storage area like www.4shared.com or www.rapidshare.de they will supply a link to your file, then send your friend the link to the page where they can download it themselves.

I have WinZip 9.

It comes with an on-disk manual. Go to Start, Programs, Winzip. There should be a right-arrow. You will see the option for "Help Manual." Best place to look for help. Winzip comes with a Wizard which is also helpful.

I don't think you will have to download any other program. Check out the manual -- it can't hurt. (Side note: I would zip one file at a time.)

Hi,
I found a free download of WinZip here http://j.mp/1p6PAgS

WinZip is probably the best choice for compressing and decompressing files.

Bye
