Where can I get the best price for these two programs - genuine, of course - ex-OEM acceptable - full versions for preference, but upgrade versions (I am still plodding along with Excel and Word 97, but this is causing file compatablity problems with work) would be considered.

Hi. I've got a pretty good PC, and it does everything well. I can even attach hardware with the RWY cables (such as my Gamecube). (I can't find my region-free portable DVD player though)... so the PC itself can do pretty much everything, except play DVDs.

Now, I KNOW it can play them, as I have the ATI ALL-IN-WONDER Graphics Card, which has a built in ATI DVD Player in the computer. However, it has one annoying feature - I can't put in a different region DVD player more than 5 times, so it then resets. Due to half of my DVDs come from my old country, yet the other half are from were I live now, I'm scared to put in my DVDs, only to find out I can't play half of them anymore.

So, is there anyway to get it so I can watch any DVD on my PC, without worrying about this region problem? Or will I have to stick to my DVD Players (that suck) down stairs? Thanks in advance.

The error: 'The Media is Write Protected'. Help! Also, this happened when I had a CD-RW once. It's really annoying. I tried right clicking, and going through the properties for an option, but can't find anything. :(

okay so i downloaded LimeWire after some of my friends' insistence...

i used to work with Ares till now (and still prefer it).. ares NEVER tries to access internet as frequently as limewire as shown by my norton firewall..

secondly, i NEVER got a Medium Risk warning when ares tried to access the internet as is the case with limewire..

my question is whether LimeWire really IS safe to use...

i have LimeWIre Pro 4.9.37 (with Java 1.5.0_09). i am using Windows XP... established and verified answers sought!

I'm trying to run diagnotics on my PC. I have the diagnostic files on my PC. I need to get the files to a CD (no problem) but I also need to make that CD bootable so I can run the diagnostic problem. Roxio Easy CD Creator lets me make a bootable CD but does not allow to be copy the files I need. Any suggestions on a program to do this? Thanks!

I am on a network computer, and recently had to have Microsoft Office re-installed. But now, whenever I open a single Excel spreadsheet, my machine automatically opens 54 more until I have a total of 55 different spreadsheets open!

I asked our IT expert, and he looked perplexed, which is frightening. (Kind of like how you don't want your doctor to say, "I've never seen this before!") I have run Symantec anti-virus, with virus definitions updated today. Can a computer be possessed? :o)

I'm getting REALLY frustraited with adobe imageready.

I can't figure out how to make an animated icon.
I know how you're supposed to do it but i can't figure it out.

The only thing i'm having problems with is the layers.
I can only get one picture up and then when i open up another, it makes a whole new layer thingy, without the first one.

I don't see how you're supposed to make an icon if you can't even get all the pictures you need on the same layer.

So please, can someone help me? I'd be very grateful and the person who can actually help me will get 10 points.
