Where can I get the best price for these two programs - genuine, of course - ex-OEM acceptable - full versions for preference, but upgrade versions (I am still plodding along with Excel and Word 97, but this is causing file compatablity problems with work) would be considered.

On ebay, you can get good deals on these packages. I ordered Word 2003 about five months ago from an ebay store; there are many great deals especially on the student/teacher editions and updates are cheaper. Also you can buy second hand refurbished updates from sellers who are very reliable. On Amazon or Amazon marketplace and you will find similarly good bargains in Microsoft products.

If this doesn't work out, try Kelkoo to search for the best prices.

Go to www.bizrate.com.

Search for MS Office 2003 Student/Teacher version.

You will get a list of sellers in order of price. Just be sure a key is included or you will get no updates.
