Till now I’m doing great without any anti virus. Almost an year since I got rid of Norton, I’m backing up my files from time to time. It infected Couple times I restore the system back. I got more viruses when I had the anti virus. It’s just my experience I’m not sure if it is right for everyone.

Hi, I always recommend Antivir to any one who asks this question. I've been using it for years now on three different machines and have had no problems with "uninvited guests". Ofcourse thats coupled with the use of ad-aware and spybot. Give it a try, if you don't like it than no big deal try another. Hope this helps.

My personal favorite is Free AVG. Its free, does a great job, better then Norton or other pay for services in my opinion, and is great at saving system reasources such as memory and processor.

I use PC-Cillin...it doesn't use up a lot of resources and works great. I have used it since 1998 and have never had a problem it could not fix quickly and easily.
