That would depend on which system you're talking about!

Without more details, I'd say a "system password" is at the hardware / BIOS level, whereas a software password is at the operation system or application level. However, that's only a guess, as your question is rather vague.

A software password allows you to install it onto the PC; the system password allows for you to get into the whole system to do any changes

system password is when ur computer starts up and before checking evrything prompts for password, software password is just before windows starts promt for password
