The error: 'The Media is Write Protected'. Help! Also, this happened when I had a CD-RW once. It's really annoying. I tried right clicking, and going through the properties for an option, but can't find anything. :(

Thanks in advance

Edit: I DID try to format it (right click, format)... it says the disk is write protected. :S

The flash drive has a little tiny protect switch on it you need to find. They get hit by accident a lot.

If its stuff you downloaded from iTunes or another service like it, the songs are protected, and you can only do so many things with them.

If you are downloading the songs via Limewire or any other P2P program, you shouldn't have this problem.

Make sure you format your SD Card before putting anything on it.

Format the memory card before you try to write to it....

ok you formatted it - through your PC. Try formatting it through a camera that takes SD cards instead. Your PC might see it as write protected, but a camera may not.
