I'm getting REALLY frustraited with adobe imageready.

I can't figure out how to make an animated icon.
I know how you're supposed to do it but i can't figure it out.

The only thing i'm having problems with is the layers.
I can only get one picture up and then when i open up another, it makes a whole new layer thingy, without the first one.

I don't see how you're supposed to make an icon if you can't even get all the pictures you need on the same layer.

So please, can someone help me? I'd be very grateful and the person who can actually help me will get 10 points.

Ya I know what you mean. The user interface in imageready is not very user friendly. Here are the steps:

1) Create your layers of your animation in photoshop
2) Export the layers to image ready
3) In the file menu, go to "Window" and select "Animation". At this stage the active/visible layer will appear as the first frame in your animation window
4) Select "New Frame" in the arrow menu button of the Animation window
5) The new frame will be a duplicate of the 1st frame. With the new frame active, go back to the layers window and make the next desired layer visble by making sure the eye icon is next to it
6) The new frame in the animation window will auto refreash to this visible layer without affecting the 1st layer.
7) Repeat steps 4 to 6 until you complete the animation.
8) In the file menu, select "Save Optimized As" and you are done.
