My son wants to make a cd on his pc, I have seached for software and came up with complicated or has to have alot of add ons. Are their any programs that are just pick your music, beats, and then add your own words via microphone that are easy to use?

Audacity will do that, but you must record each 'track' and meld them together.

try searching under karaoke programs. There are a lot of them that have free trial downloads that you wont have to purchase. Be sure they have an uninstall program with them. Dart has a program similar to the one you are describing. There are also some programs that allow you to take voice off regular tracks. My best recommendation; however, is find someone who does karaoke and ask if they can record him. Also, heres something to try..go to start on your pc/ all programs/ accessories/ entertainment/ sound recorder. you can play with that and see what you come up with. dont know how the quality will be but i have heard some stuff recorded that way and its not bad. Give it a try.

i haven't really tried this one but its free, you are looking for a multi track audio editor..
that way one track will have the beat, and the other his voice..then mix it into a song
